The way we live today, so technically connected and with our schedules so filled, we constantly hang out in the stress response. We are attuned to it. It is the 'normal' state for us to be all the time concerned with what is next or how can I fill this moment? What else do I have to or need to do or how can I entertain myself now? We stay 'on guard' and therefore are chronically activating the stress response. It is part of our goal-achieving mentality and it has served us well...up to a point. And that point is when we cannot turn it off.

I recommend that you know what gets you into the relaxation response (parasympathetic nervous system), and use it often! It is for your health! It is for your better sleep...

We will start with simple MEDITATION, move through the YIN YOGA sequence followed by a YOGA NIDRA (yogic sleep).

I will introduce you to a deeply soothing breath technique to experience a better night's sleep.

All finished with cup of tea and little sweet treat to bring you back to a wakeful state.

No previous experience is necessry. Appropriate for all ages and levels.

Yin Yoga is a quiet, meditative practice of longer-held passive poses that enhance and renew the body's vital energy, ease joint-rigidity, immobility, and nourish the body at the whole level.

Yin aids with digestion, muscle repair, organ detoxification and emotional processing. The gentle, supported postures allow the connective tissue ( ligaments, tendons, joints, and fascia) to strengthen, and with a consistent practice over 6 weeks, you will notice postural improvement, increased ease of movement and overall balance of mind & body.

Join Ivana this season for yoga session in a cozy, candlelit studio. Class begins with slow Hatha based flow and then transitions in to a Yin practice with longer, more restorative holds. Finding the balance by surrendering in these passive poses; which your body can relax and release.

Using the Breath combined with this practice will help you find the space to move deeper into the postures, bringing your body and mind into the stillness, peacefulness and the serene.

Asana practice is followed by deep relaxation (Savasana or Yoga Nidra), Pranayama and Meditation.

Finish your Friday with some fast(ish) flows in this fitness and fun based Yoga class. Inspired by Tess's love of the sea and the belief of the effect of graceful movement on the soul Tess has fused some beautiful surfy type moves with Kalari style yoga and classic Hatha/Vinyasa and Yin to help you explore your body and mind, whilst very much keeping in mind the true ethics of Yoga practise.

Her own style of Yoga Nidra and Pranyama exercises will relax and rejuvenate you, all to some great tunes as well, definitely an intermediate class, expect to bend and sweat and challenge yourself, just a little.

Guided Meditations for Healing - In these Wellbeing Meditations, you will be taken to a sacred healing garden where you will meet with your guide. Over the 6 weeks together we will work on healing for the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual elements of yourself before reballancing your seven main Chakra's. You will also be given a simple verbal chakra meditation to keep to use for future Chakra Health.

    These classes are guided meditation and a great place to start as most people find meditation challenging when they first begin. Cathy will help you learn to switch off the monkey chatter of the mind and learn how to trust the intuitive messages that you will begin to connect to in class.

    These Meditation classes help you to become more confident with your practice and more connected to the power within. These classes include introductions to a variety of subjects so you can experience what feels right for you to continue working with on your meditation journey. Classes are limited to 8 people to ensure the right energy and support is available within the group. No experience is required and although the classes are spiritual in nature they are not based on a specific religion and so are open to all.

    This Yoga class is for all women out there who suffers with PMS, cramps, bloating and generally feel like the whole world is against them once it comes nearer or through their monthly cycle.

    During the first two days it is good to take a little beak from the Yang Yoga (more physical practice) and balance it out with a more restorative YIN Yoga, and other techniques such as pranayama, yoga nidra and meditation.

    Mindfulness for Health and Wellbeing logo

    8 Week Mindfulness for Health and Wellbeing Course

    The 8 week course teaches mindfulness skills in a weekly class over the course of 8 weeks.

    This is the core of mindfulness where you will learn to recognise and train your attention away from stress inducing thought patterns to improve your health and wellbeing. The sessions consist of teaching content and practical exercises within a group (maximum 10 people per class). To gain the most benefit from the course you will be asked to commit to 45 minutes of home practise each day between classes.

    Please be aware this course may not be appropriate if you are in the midst of a very difficult experience. Please contact us to discuss any concerns.

    A certificate of attendance will be given at the end when all sessions are completed. If any sessions are missed they can be made up by booking a private tutorial if needed.
