Beginners Meditation Classes will be returning in the new year to The Yoga Tree and are a great way to begin your Meditation journey. In this 6 week programme we will look at various subjects to give you a taster of many different areas in which you can use meditation while building confidence in your intuition and technique, so that in future you will be able to choose what feels right for you to continue with.

This will include-

  • Obstacles to meditation

Come and try a luscious mix of Restorative, Yin and Yoga Nidra (Deep Yogic Sleep). These restorative sessions help to balance a fast lifestyle (something, I know all about!) and have an enormous capacity to help heal stress related physical and mental symptoms.

What is the class like? You will still stretch, but you will fully relax in the stretch, so that tension can slowly be released. Because the body and mind relax, literally becoming softer, you also create space to get in touch again with your natural qualities of compassion and understanding of others and self. Your body can feel soft, warm, supple and glowing... feeling so comfortable you hardly notice the physical body. As your mind sits back, you can sort of watch everything from a distance, with a smile on your face, knowing everything is okay, exactly as it is. Nothing to accept or reject. Do you remember what it is like to rest in your true nature? Realize you are not separate from life, any more than the air in a balloon is different than the air surrounding it, or the wave separate from the sea.

It is said our soul will pass through many lifetimes on its soul path, experiencing many lessons along the way- using Past life regression and Future life progression we can to connect with energy and information of these lives. This can help us to understand elements about your current life and it's direction.
Imagine being able to connect with your future self to ask their opinion with the benefit of hindsight on your current situation....or understanding of why you may feel an awareness of things that may have been collected from past life's can.

  • The first session you will be guided to the Past Life you would most benefit from learning about in your current situation to bring back knowledge and energy that could support you now.
  • The second session you will connect with your far distant future self to gather information about what is happening in the future, advice they have for you now and a better sense of your souls purpose.

The format is comparable to a Guided Meditation, and no experience is necessary as I will guide you.

SuperFlow Yoga

Finish your Friday with some fast(ish) flows in this fitness and fun based Yoga class. Inspired by Tess's love of the sea and the belief of the effect of graceful movement on the soul Tess has fused some beautiful surfy type moves with Kalari style yoga and classic Hatha/Vinyasa and Yin to help you explore your body and mind, whilst very much keeping in mind the true ethics of Yoga practise.

Her own style of Yoga Nidra and Pranyama exercises will relax and rejuvenate you, all to some great tunes as well, definitely an intermediate class, expect to bend and sweat and challenge yourself, just a little.

Sat.4.Feb: Shoulders and Neck. Practices to increase mobility, reduce pain and develop strength. This workshop may be helpful with rehabilitation following a shoulder injury. A hand-out of the practices will be given, so that they can be continued at home.

Sat.10.Jun: Stress, Anxiety & Insomnia. Techniques and practices to reduce and manage the effects of stress and anxiety in daily life, and to encourage deep sleep. Finding ease and balance through yoga asanas, breath-work, deep relaxation and mindfulness meditation. A hand-out of the practices will be given, so that they can be continued at home.

Sat.15.Jul.: Healthy Lower Back. Back pain has many courses and this workshop will offer a range of practices suitable for many conditions. We will learn how to; gently improve mobility and flexibility; strengthen the back and core muscles; reduce and manage chronic pain. A hand-out will be given so that you can continue the practices at home.

As the winter draws to an end we will have to go with the seasons and change the Candlelit sessions for the Serene Sundays with the flower Mandala's.

Join Ivana for this yoga session in a cozy studio with soft tunes and relaxed atmosphere. Class begins with Hatha based flow and then transitions in to a Yin practice with longer, more restorative holds. Expect building up heat, and balance it out by finding surrender in passive poses in which your body can relax and release.

This practice will help you find a space to move deeper into the postures and will bring your mind to stillness. Finishing the session with a healing Yoga Nidra guided meditation.

What we experience is only a part of the mystery that arrives we call love. We can get tangled up with need, expectation and self-limiting behaviours. Over time our lives can hold patterns in how we experience love, within our learnt and inherited unconscious nature.

Through YOGINI WAYS re-empowerment Vedic Tantra, Investigative Meditation and Dance, we will be meeting to explore who we are in love, and who we could be with love endeavouring to touch the greater reality of it within ourselves.
