In these restorative classes, props are used to support the body so poses can be held longer, allowing the body to open through passive stretching. The postures are usually adapted from supine or seated yoga poses, and their shape is modified with blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps to eliminate unnecessary muscular effort. We will be holding each restorative yoga pose for a few minutes, even as long 10-15 minutes.

It is an active form of relaxation. Specific body parts are alternately relaxed and stimulated, moving the body towards a balanced state. Some poses will have an overall positive effect on the body's systems, while others target a specific part, such as the chest or spine.

Restorative yoga practice is soothing, comforting, relaxing and renewing. It is excellent for reducing chronic stress, anxiety and exhaustion. Join me for this practice and learn how to support yourself when you are feeling sick, weak, tired, recovering from injury or illness or you just want to enjoy an evening in this style...

Practice is followed by deep guided relaxation called Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep).

Life, our relationships with others and our relationship with ourselves are so complicated and can become apart of our inbuilt belief system, labelling who we believe ourselves to be. This can all affect our energy and confidence as a result and so taking time to stop, relearn and renew our energy and confidence from time to time is a healthy way to begin a deeper well-being.

In these classes, over the six weeks you will be taken on beautiful journeys in nature where you will relax, take in a new energy, relearn who you are by letting go of others judgments, and connect to the gifts your future self-knows you could benefit from right now to empower your confidence for the future.

These classes will benefit anyone who is looking to take back control of their energy and confidence by choosing who they want to be for themselves.

Beginners Meditation Classes

These Classes are guided meditation and a great place to start as most people find meditation challenging when they first begin. I will guide you to learn how to switch off the monkey chatter of the mind and begin to trust the intuitive messages that you will begin to connect to in class.

These Beginners Meditation Classes help you to become more confident with your practice and more connected to the power within. I describe these classes as a pick and mix of different ways you can use meditation- building your confidence with the practicalities while being supported to begin to connect to your intuition. When you can switch off the logical brain, relax and connect you have all the answers you seek within and these classes will help you take the first step to doing that. You will begin to learn to do this in a small and supportive group so you can discover what subject areas feel right for you to continue to explore moving forward.

Each class has limited numbers (to up to 8) to ensure the right energy and support is available within the group. This means any individual questions or challenges can be supported personally. I will be in contact with you in and outside of the classes to make sure you feel encouraged and to help you to build your confidence. You will also have access to each of the meditations online outside of classes to continue to benefit and nurture your practice. A booklet on all the subjects is also provided to reference back to at any time.

Reiki Healing is a spiritual healing for Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual imbalances held in the energy body. This Healing is channelled through the use of sacred symbols and words used to access the channels of healing from the source. (Universal Energy, Godhead, Ancestors, Angels whatever you believe this to be). This creates a connection to the Reiki Healer who in turn sends this healing to the energy body of the person requiring the healing. As with so many energy-based modalities Intention is key.

Level One is where you will learn about what Reiki is, the history of Reiki, our lineage and be given the sacred Reiki breath with the ancient attunement process. You will have supervised practical time to learn the hand positions and build your confidence in a practical way so you can start as soon as you leave. All notes on the day are provided for you so that you can concentrate on what's being taught instead of the distraction of note keeping. It's a wonderfully relaxed day with like minded people to connect, teas, coffees and lunch are all provided so please let me know if you have any specific dietary requirements.

Join Ivana this season for yoga session in a cozy, candlelit studio. Class begins with slow Hatha based flow and then transitions in to a Yin practice with longer, more restorative holds. Finding the balance by surrendering in these passive poses; which your body can relax and release.

Using the Breath combined with this practice will help you find the space to move deeper into the postures, bringing your body and mind into the stillness, peacefulness and the serene.

Asana practice is followed by deep relaxation (Savasana or Yoga Nidra), Pranayama and Meditation.

Yin Yoga is a quiet, meditative practice of longer-held passive poses that enhance and renew the body's vital energy, ease joint-rigidity, immobility, and nourish the body at the whole level.

Yin aids with digestion, muscle repair, organ detoxification and emotional processing. The gentle, supported postures allow the connective tissue ( ligaments, tendons, joints, and fascia) to strengthen, and with a consistent practice over 6 weeks, you will notice postural improvement, increased ease of movement and overall balance of mind & body.

6-Week Writing Course

This exiting 6-week course delivered by Rosie Peacock is designed to teach you how to use writing as a way to know yourself better, improve your wellbeing and increase feelings of joy in your life. Studies show that writing has been proven to decrease depression, stress and anxiety as well as increase positive emotions such as gratitude and joy*. The exercises on the course are a blend of scientifically sourced interventions from Positive Psychology research and coaching practices as well as integrating creative writing exercises too. There will be a mix between journalling, and creative writing.

You don't need to be an experienced writer to attend, although enjoying the writing process is something we will work towards over the course of the 6-weeks. The course works best when you can integrate the practices into your daily routine, writing for 15 minutes a day will allow you to gain the most benefits.

Yoga Nidra is a powerful technique in which you learn to relax consciously. It is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. The term yoga nidra is derived from two Sanskrit words, yoga meaning union or one-pointed awareness, and nidra which means sleep. During the practice of yoga nidra, you appear to be asleep, but the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness. For this reason, yoga nidra is often referred to as psychic sleep or deep relaxation with inner awareness. In this threshold state between sleep and wakefulness, contact with the subconscious and unconscious dimensions occurs spontaneously .

In yoga nidra, the state of relaxation is reached by turning inwards, away from outer experiences. If the consciousness can be separated from external awareness and from sleep, it becomes very powerful and can be applied in many ways, for example, to develop the memory, increase knowledge and creativity, or transform one's nature.

Join me in the beautiful Yoga Tree Studio for a Friday evening of guided, deep, conscious relaxation and nourishing rest. No previous Yoga experience required, those with some yoga experience have the opportunity to go deeper into the practice.
